Just a dude with a camcorder
We all know the notorious “guitar guy” at a party. A dude playing acoustic, poorly strumming out Wonderwall. Few people talk about the far more obnoxious cousin of this archetype: The Camcorder Guy.
Midway through college, my mom found our old camcorder. The same Canon zr850 camcorder she recorded a whole chunk of my childhood on. I immediately became obsessed with it, and adored capturing moments as small as roommate hang-outs, to as momentous as college graduation.
In an attempt to document my goings-on, I began my journey to become the dreaded Camcorder Guy. In my free time, I started editing these snapshots of life into home videos. Not quite vlogs, something that captures more of a feeling and a memory.
My main goal with these is to get my friends to cry as much as possible over the course of a roughly 2 minute video.
Enjoy!

Sunny Side Home Video
Mud City 2024
A little homage to a festival I attended with my college improv team. 12 improvisers crammed into my house in the suburbs, traveled in to perform and see shows, and acted all cute and stuff.
Da Big Apple
NYC 2024
That same summer I was lucky enough to visit my best friend in New York City. By the end my camcorder’s little SC card tummy was super full and happy, and it pooped out this little video. Wow! Beautiful.

Summer ’24
A recap
I guess that summer was all pretty cool. Made a recap on it to commemorate the rad vibes of staying in a college town between school years. & it was when I turned 21, so to prove to you that I do have a birthday, and was at one point born, here’s a cute pic of me as a baby. #proof
Tori & Derek’s Wedding
A Special Episode Home Vid
Love is awesome and beautiful, and so was my cousin’s wedding. Made a quick little home video September 2024. Damn I was on fire. Also taught my mom how to “frat flick.”

Colorado Home Video
October 2024
The amount of home videos I was doing at this time, I feel like I have to clarify I did actually go to class + had a job + was running 3 clubs. Whatever was fueling me then, I’d love a little dose of that now. Pure joy and wonder? Who knows.
Went to Breckenridge for Fall break, and it was my first time seeing mountains! That was cool. Also first time taking a road trip with buddies that wasn’t school related, so that rocked too.
A Day at the Aquarium
Summer ’25
Didn’t edit this till mid-fall ’25, and I was totally slacking on these my senior year of college (I would hope so, yea those capstone projects take priority..)
Last summer was probably my best summer ever #awesome and this little vibey vid of the aquarium PROVES IT wow so artsy and quirky and cute.
